We’ve been finding a returning desire for craftsmanship, character, and natural beauty in the home. Our customers yearn for it. We fight daily for it.

In a time where having clean lines and spotless surfaces has not only been the expectation, but the norm, drywall and vinyl laminate products have dominated the construction scene. It’s cheap, affordable, quick, and accessible. As a result, many modern builders have developed the mindset that low-grade knotty pine can’t be used in high-end spaces, or that it just doesn’t fit with current design styles.

It’s an honest opinion, but our customers disagree. Drywall sucks. Laminate flooring is repetitive. Your grandpappy would be ashamed, and your dog thinks it all stinks.

We have had an absolute blast getting to watch cabin and common grade lumber used in million dollar homes and $200 hunting blinds, and everything in between! Our customers have finished out their projects in incredible ways, taking inspiration from authentic farm houses, avant-garde Airbnb’s, rustic Appalachian cabins, and even the inviting boho-esque-ness of gypsy caravan wagons.

Finding the perfect grade of lumber to fit your style can be far less important if you are open to putting a little elbow grease into the work of installing and finishing the lumber. It might take some board sorting, knot hole filling, and the finesse of a brush (or sometimes a propane burner!), but just like Erik and Melissa demonstrated in their living room, a little creativity, grit, and heart can make knotty pine work for just about any style!
